„Floating Lines.“ is a conversation between tradition and the future of glass craft; a dialogue between three dimensional analog objects and the two dimensional digital world. Through this self invented technique folding hot glass, the opaque colored lines float in transparent glass without touching each other. The clear glass reveals lines that appear and disappear within its depth, creating a sense of surface and inviting touch through the eyes. A new and unique approach letting the lines flow not only in one of the consecutive layers but exploring different depths of the glass. Not only the strings are floating in the transparent glass also the white/blackwhite and white/red strings starts to flow and dissolve into each other. My work is rooted in high craftmanship and consist of countless days of preparation and work in the hot shop and cold shop to achieve a soft, satin finish.
